Defense Logistics Agency Awards EBS Contract to Coggins International for Energy Convergence Support Services

Atlanta, GA - August 30, 2012 The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), America's Combat Logistics Support Agency awarded Coggins International a contract to provide sustainment support and SAP development services as part of its continued implementation of the Enterprise Business System (EBS) Energy Convergence (EC) program. Energy Convergence is designed to bring DLA Energy business into EBS to create a single DLA business system enabling streamlined operations, real-time petroleum supply chain management, integrated financial compliance, and reduced systems support costs.

The program includes the integration of the SAP-based EBS with Varec's FuelsManager Defense v8.0, to be deployed worldwide at over 600 military bases. As the inventor of FuelsManager Defense as a Base Level solution, I began working directly with SAP in 2000 in the interest of implementing a truly enterprise-wide computing system for Defense applications, said Keith Coggins, Chairman & Chief Technology Officer.
