Jula Jane Receives the Prestigious Golden Peach Award

Atlanta, GA - September 1, 2013 – Jula Jane, President & CEO of Coggins International, and Founder & President of Operation G.I. Jane, received the prestigious Golden Peach Award during a one-of-a-kind event at Roche Bobois in Buckhead. The Golden Peach Award was presented for the very first time to 10 of Atlanta's most outstanding women and leaders for their continued contributions to the community-at-large. The Award celebrates and honors extraordinary women who inspire and empower others to make a difference in their communities and the world.

The Golden Peach recipients are hand-picked Georgia Peaches that are not just trailblazers, but remarkable examples of the very best of the city of Atlanta, the State of Georgia and our nation, said Nikki Barjon, President of the Barjon Group one of the premiere sponsors. They are the ones who lend their voice, time and name to elevate our city. They are the ones who give their time, money and efforts in more ways than we could ever count. They are the ones who chair committees, raise awareness and support countless well-needed charitable causes.

Each honoree was hand-picked by a private executive board from various leading companies. In addition to watching the work they do, the board carefully selected individuals that have remained unwavering and steadfast in their commitment to helping others and shaping the world for the better. Once all nominations were narrowed down, a private junior executive board of the next wave of leaders and innovators researched their work in the community and weighed in on the final decisions. Although many tried, nominations were not accepted.
