U.S. Army Awards Coggins International CompTIA A+ and Security+ Training Contract

Atlanta, GA - September 20, 2013 – Coggins International today announced it has been awarded a contract to provide CompTIA A+ and Security+ computer training to Headquarters, Department of the Army (HQDA) Directorate of Mission Assurance (DMA) personnel. Under this contract, Coggins International will provide instructor-led training for HQDA DMA personnel to increase their knowledge and prepare them for the A+
220-801 and 220-802 and Security+ SYO-301 certification exams. This work will be performed on-site at Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

Due to an influx of attacks to Government systems, Security+ certification for military personnel has become mission critical, said Account Executive and Certified Instructor Scott Pustejovsky. Our CompTIA Security+ and A+ courses not only prepare students for the certification exams, but also utilize real-world training that will immediately benefit the U.S. Army.

CompTIA certifications are industry recognized, vendor-neutral credentials that cover the specific tasks and knowledge required for IT professionals. CompTIA A+ covers preventative maintenance, basic networking, installation, troubleshooting, communication and professionalism. CompTIA Security+ covers system security, network infrastructure, cryptography, assessments and audits. All of these certifications fulfill the U.S. Department of Defense mandated requirements of DoD Directive 8570.1M.

The Company's training team is made up of IT professionals and ex-military with an intimate knowledge of Commercial, Defense and Government applications. They all hold Certified Technical Trainer (CTT+) certifications under CompTIA as well as Defense IT-I, IT-II, IT-III and/or Secret clearances. CompTIA CTT+ covers the knowledge and skills needed for the technical training field, including classroom preparation, presentation, communication, facilitation and evaluation in both traditional classroom and virtual classroom environments. This team provides training to over 1,000 students per year.
